IITTALA Ultima Thule Bowl Votive 6.5cm Rain

Inspired by the melting ice in Lapland, Wirkkala originally created the surface in the 1960s after carving into a graphic mould. An exclusive design reflecting the thousands of hours spent perfecting the glass-blowing technique required to produce the effect. The patterns gradually change as the glass burns the surface of the wooden moulds.

For the 50th Anniversary year we introduce for the first time ever Ultima Thule in colour. To honor 50 years of Ultima Thule, the classic is clad in blue, a mystic, yet elegant colour. The new colour evokes the scenery of Northern Finland and takes you back to the very northern edge of the world. All anniversary items are gift boxed in Ultima Thule 50th Anniversary gift packaging.
